In order to ensure that Metrohm will not be sold, Bertold Suhner discussed with the other two founders that he did not convert the company into a joint-stock company. Markus Läubli was born in Winterthur, Switzerland, on July 31, 1955. He received his Ph.D. in science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in 1985.
