Q: In the past decade, the rapid development of China's autos has led to an annual sales volume ranking first in the world, and the corresponding emission of automobile exhaust has also increased year by year. In recent years, the average number of haze days in China is generally more than 5 to 20 days, and car exhaust is the culprit. Yuchai Engine is a leader in the industry and it is also known as the "Chinese green power." As headman, what do you think about reducing vehicle exhaust emissions?
A: Automobile emissions are a national or even global problem. Each year, 3/4 of the country’s cargo volume depends on diesel-powered road transport. Its huge market share consumes huge oil resources. The internal combustion engine industry is a large energy consumer, but the implementation of energy-saving emission reduction is also the most excavated potential. In respect of energy-saving and emission reduction, compared with the advanced level in foreign countries, China’s lagging fuel consumption rate is higher than that of foreign countries by about 15%, while the emission standards are lower than the foreign one or two standards, and energy saving and emission reduction has become a national implementation. The only way to sustainable development. Therefore, focusing on emissions control and upgrading across the country and across the industry should be the basic starting point for the country to consider measures and formulate policies. In particular, emission regulations and policies for commercial vehicles should be the focus of motor vehicle emission control.
Q: We know that Yuchai's emission upgrades from country I to Europe VI are at the forefront of the industry and lead the implementation of industry standards. How does Yuchai do this?
A: Economic development cannot be done at the expense of the environment. To achieve "beautiful China," technological innovation is the key point. Yuchai is an engine company and it is also a company with social responsibility. Yuchai has a goal of "doing the largest active source of pollution control." Since the end of the last century, Yuchai has devoted himself to the research of emission technology upgrades and has invested heavily in product upgrades. Yuchai selected the SCR post-processing control technology line and led the selection of China's emission technology upgrade route. Among them, domestic SCR post-processing products have made it difficult for foreign products to survive in China. From country I to Europe VI, Yuchai has stood on the platform that is comparable to the world for more than a decade.
In January 2013, the "Key Technology and Industrialization of Yuchai Energy-saving and Environment-Friendly Diesel Engine" won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. This is also a project that has undergone a decade of destruction. The engine launched by this project has been used in the market, and energy saving and environmental protection are very obvious. Calculated at an annual output of 510,000 units, the average annual CO2 emissions can be reduced by 2.515 million tons, fuel savings of up to 800,000 tons, annual fuel savings of 5 billion yuan, and reduced CO2 emissions equivalent to 157 million trees.
Q: Yuchai was the first industrial base of 100 billion yuan in Guangxi. How did Yuchai build it?
A: In the “Twelfth Five-Year Planâ€, Guangxi put forward a project that will focus on the implementation of 100 billion yuan in industry, 100 billion yuan in enterprises, and 100 billion yuan in the “three hundred billion yuan†project. Yuchai is the first batch of billions of billions of dollars in Guangxi. Yuan Yu, Yuchai has this ability to achieve this goal. In the “12th Five-Year Plan†development, Yuchai has been steadily advancing toward the goal of building a multi-billion-dollar enterprise, especially in technological research. In addition, while Guangxi launched a 100 billion yuan industrial base, it has fully launched a 100 billion yuan industrial major scientific and technological breakthrough project. In this project construction, Yuchai became the only reliance building unit of the Internal Combustion Engine R&D Center in Guangxi, and is committed to researching and developing new products such as advanced automotive engines and high-standard non-road diesel engines. At the same time, the National Engineering Laboratory for Energy-efficient and Environmentally-friendly Internal Combustion Engines has also settled in Yuchai, and Yuchai is fully responsible for the construction.
