At present, 88 LED projects in the EIA stage are distributed in 19 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China, among which Zhejiang and Jiangsu have become the major provinces of the project, with 48 projects, exceeding the total number of projects, 50 in Anhui, Guangdong and Sichuan. The number of projects is close behind. From the industrial chain link of the products produced after the project is put into production, the above projects include the LED industry chain, the middle and lower reaches, and materials and accessories. Among them, LED lighting application has become an investment hotspot, with 56 construction projects, reaching 63 of the total number of projects, followed by materials and supporting industries, reaching 19 of the total number of projects, while epitaxial chips and packaging projects are relatively small. In the industrial supporting projects, sapphire and substrate processing projects and phosphor materials have become the investment focus, accounting for 6 and 5 of the total number of projects respectively. In terms of the number of projects, LED lighting application projects are being built or rebuilt in many places. It has become a hot spot for investment, but from the perspective of the amount of investment, LED epitaxial chips are still the focus of capital investment, reaching 9.17 billion, exceeding 50% of the total investment of all projects, and the average amount of funds per project exceeds 1 billion.
