Tin ore and tin deposit introduction

The cassiterite is the most important tin-containing mineral, including cassiterite-sulphide ore and skarn-type tin ore, which are the main mineral resources of the tin industry. There are many types of tin deposits. The main industrial types are skarn type, porphyry type, cassiterite silicate vein type, cassiterite sulfide type, quartz vein and yunying rock type, granite weathering shell type and so on. Gejiu and Dachang is a world-class super-large tin metal mining; Qinghai tin iron mountain is tin lead zinc mine; Mianning County Lugu iron ore, iron Huanggang of Inner tin, Nanling The iron-iron ore is a ferro-tin deposit; the Hunan-Shizhuyuan and other mining areas are marble -type polymetallic tin-bearing deposits.

Iron-iron ore has a large reserve in China, and iron-tin ore is rich in tin-contacting iron ore or iron-based tin. Iron-iron ore is often in the form of large-scale super-large deposits. The fine particles of cassiterite and the distribution of tin in the ion state of magnetite and other mineral crystal lattices are relatively high, which makes it difficult to comprehensively recover tin and other valuable elements. Therefore, the selectivity is poor.

As far as the world is concerned, the main tin mines currently mined are primary tin and sand tin. The deposit types of primary tin mainly include: 1) Tin-bearing pegmatite deposits, mainly small and medium-sized, with low tin grade, but the ore is easy to select and has high recovery rate, mainly distributed in Africa, Brazil, Australia and other places. About 10% of the world's tin production comes from such deposits. 2) The cassiterite-quartz vein deposit is mainly small and medium-sized, a few large and individual large. The ore grade is high and the recovery rate is 70%–80%. Most deposits can be exploited in open pit, mainly in Southeast Asia and Europe. 3) cassiterite-sulphide deposits, mostly large and medium-sized, a few extra large. The ore contains 0.2%–1.5% tin, mostly underground mining. The beneficiation process is complicated and the recovery rate is low (generally 30%–60%). These deposits are mainly distributed in China, Bolivia and the northeast coast of Russia. Sand-tin deposits are generally small and medium-sized, as well as large and extra large. The ore contains 0.05%–0.3% tin, mostly exposed, and the beneficiation process is simple. The recovery rate is generally 50%–95%, mainly distributed in Southeast Asia, Central and South Africa, Western Australia and other places.
