Liebherr and KAMAZ begin production of new diesel engines

On March 25, 2014, KAMAZ and Liebherr signed a cooperation agreement in Ehingen, Eingen, Germany. Both parties will jointly develop a new in-line six-cylinder diesel engine with a power output range of 300 to 520 kW (400 to 700 hp). In three years, KAMAZ's engine manufacturing plant has undergone extensive reforms to promote the production of new engines: a production facility for cylinder head machining and a state-of-the-art assembly line including a test stand and painting area. In December 2017, the first components of the new engine KAMAZ 910.10 were completed and entered the assembly line.

“In order to produce the most advanced KAMAZ trucks , the R&D team needs to adopt innovative methods,” said Sergey Kogogin, general manager of Kamaz. “Kamaz is trying to optimize its products and enter new market segments. It is also a new engine developed in cooperation with Liebherr. Using advanced technologies from around the world, powerful and reliable, Liebherr has extensive experience in the development and production of engines for harsh climates and operating conditions, and cooperation with Liebherr enables Kamaz to significantly improve the technical characteristics of vehicles. And consumer-oriented features to produce safer, more environmentally friendly trucks."

In the process of engine development, Kamaz focused on reducing fuel consumption in trucks, optimizing work weight, increasing reliability and extending the service life. The new inline six-cylinder engine has a displacement of 12 litres and is equipped with a common rail system developed by Liebherr and an engine control unit (ECU). Engines with similar configurations have proven to be very effective in a variety of Liebherr machinery and equipment. Some of the advantages of the new engine include low fuel consumption and low emissions, which not only meet Euro 5 emission standards, but also meet future Euro 6 emission standards. In addition, the maintenance interval of this engine has been increased to 150,000 kilometers.

“Because of the development of the KAMAZ gearbox production facilities, the two parties have cooperated for many years. Therefore, this cooperation is very pleased to witness the birth of this new engine, which is a direct result of the joint efforts of R&D personnel and engineers. The current production and assembly line is dedicated It was built for a new engine, using cutting-edge technology, and it was very impressive. Special thanks to Liebherr and all KAMAZ workers. We wish this new engine a success,” said Willie Liebherr, Liebherr chairman. Say.

All new assembly lines are now started. The industrial production of in-line six-cylinder engines will be launched at the KAMAZ production plant in March 2018 with a design annual production capacity of 12,000 powertrains. Within the framework of the project, KAMAZ established 150 job sites. The new engine will be carried on the next-generation KAMAZ K5 truck and production is planned for 2019.

Readings:

With the prolonged operation of the Steam Turbine power generation equipment, after a long period of start-stop operation, the loss of the equipment gradually increases, which inevitably causes the wear, tear, deformation and damage of equipment components, making the whole operation of the machine threatened by risky factors, and make the unit's operating efficiency significantly reduced, and hence affecting the economic performance of the unit. Therefore, the equipment maintenance is particularly important. However, many users do not have professional technical experience and staff, given that, QNP is dedicated to provide its customers with a full range of unit maintenance and repair services, as well as the upgrading of old units. At the same time, QNP also provide its customers with long-term training and debugging services. QNP can develop tailor-made maintenance program upon its customers requirements, provide direct one-on-one service, and realize life-long service to our users.

QNP provides maintenance, repair, overhaul and upgrade services and spare parts supply for turbine-generator set of 0-1000MW.
