“The Ministry of Commerce has adopted the market-oriented mode of operation under the guidance of the government, innovated in organizing exhibitions, and organized the first China International Auto Parts Expo in the absence of central government funding. It has been a great success.†Deputy Director-General, Department of Mechanical and Electrical Industry, Ministry of Commerce Zhang Hao said: “The China International Auto Parts Expo has a very broad prospect. Within five years, it is expected to rank among the top three in the world in similar categories.â€
Zhang Wei, Director of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Industry, Department of Commerce
“The development of China's auto parts industry requires an autonomous, international, and professional communication platform. The Ministry of Commerce is working hard to build such an internationally-renowned platform.†This is Zhang Tong, the deputy director of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Industry of the Ministry of Commerce in the country A paragraph of the system meeting, he said the platform is the China International Auto Parts Expo (CIAPE).
Zhang Jian, deputy director of the automotive industry management experts, had participated in the formulation of the "construction of vehicle characteristics of the auto parts import management measures" and other important regulations. Zhang Hao said that the China International Auto Parts Exhibition (CIAPE) is the only national-level international auto parts and aftermarket fair held by the Ministry of Commerce. It was successfully held in 2007 for the first time.
From November 29, 2007 to December 1, 2007, CIAPE was successfully held in Beijing. 1,049 companies from 27 countries and regions participated in the exhibition. The booth area was 50,000 square meters, of which overseas exhibitors accounted for 20%. Zhang Hao believes that last year's Expo has achieved great success and is a successful exploration of the MOFCOM's reform and development model. The orientation of CIAPE has been initially reflected, namely becoming one of the three major international auto parts exhibitions in the world.
According to Zhang Hao, 37 co-organizers of 2007CIAPE are 21 foreign companies and associations, and the top four multinational automobile enterprise groups such as Volkswagen and General Motors, as well as the world's top 500 auto parts manufacturers. "No one is not 21 domestic key automobile enterprise groups such as FAW and Dongfeng have also actively supported or participated in co-operation.†“This is the first time that China’s exhibition is co-organized by the international community. This is the first time that domestic and foreign co-organizers have participated so actively. No one thought that the world’s third-ranked company was not a co-organizer before, and they also complained that the fourth-ranked ones were all co-sponsored by the Zero Expo, and the third one could not be supported by it.†Britain, South Korea Companies in other countries are all pushed in afterwards, and each co-organizer has not put forward a share of the shares.
Zhang Jian pointed out that the holding of such an exhibition is of great significance and its importance is mainly reflected in four aspects.
First, China's auto industry needs to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation. After China's accession to the WTO, China's auto industry has witnessed a sustained and good development. In particular, privately-owned and state-owned enterprises' own brand vehicles have continued to double in growth in the past four years. Last year, the total vehicle exports reached 612,000, and the export value reached 7.3 billion U.S. dollars. Together with the export value of spare parts, it totaled 24.55 billion U.S. dollars; the number of imported cars was 314,000, and the import value reached 11 billion U.S. dollars, plus the import of spare parts. A total of 26.2 billion U.S. dollars. On the whole, imports are greater than exports.
At present, China has become the world’s third largest automobile producer, the second largest consumer of automobiles, and the largest potential automotive market. The demand for Chinese auto parts in foreign markets is very strong. Multinational companies have come to invest and purchase in China. Under such circumstances, China's auto parts industry must improve its ability for independent innovation and continue to develop. It must be conducted in an open state. Exchanges, transactions, and cooperation become extremely important. This requires a platform. In China, there are many communication platforms for the auto parts industry. According to incomplete statistics, there are 26 or so parts and components exhibitions held every year in the country, but none of them is world-renowned. China needs to create an internationally renowned communication platform for the auto parts industry.
Second, the need to transform the growth mode of foreign trade. Calculated by transaction amount, automobile products account for 10% of world trade volume. According to the statistics of 2006, the total amount of world auto trade exceeds 1 trillion US dollars, and China’s auto trade volume only accounts for 1%. The export value of China's auto products only accounts for 2% of China's foreign trade exports, accounting for about 3.5% of the export value of electromechanical products. China’s auto parts and components exports are minimal and have broad prospects for growth. They are expected to become an important force in stimulating China’s foreign trade growth in the future.
Third, the need to promote trade balance. CIAPE positioning is not exactly going out and expanding exports, but the combination of import and export. Display, trading, cooperation and intellectual introduction are the functions of CIAPE. China welcomes foreign manufacturers to enter China, build a platform for them, and connect with domestic companies to achieve a win-win situation in interaction.
Fourth, the need to reform the exhibition mode. The development of China's exhibition economy is still not enough, and the total amount is not much. At present, there are many exhibitions organized by the relevant domestic units and there are no exhibitions organized according to the rules of the exhibition. It is common for the government to have too much color, insufficient stamina, and unsustainable exhibitions. In developed countries, the exhibition of auto parts and components has been professionalized, and the supporting system has also been professionalized. It is necessary to explore, reform, and innovate in domestic exhibitions of the same kind.
Zhang Hao said that this year's China International Auto Parts Expo will take a new level in terms of scale and quality. The exhibition will be moved to the new national exhibition. It is expected that the exhibition area will reach 80,000 square meters, with nearly 2000 exhibitors. . At present, China International Auto Parts Exhibition has been supported by 28 auto industry associations in 10 countries and regions including China, the United States, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, and South Korea. On July 8th, the American Automotive Aftermarket Association ( AAIA has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the China International Auto Parts Exhibition Organizing Committee. The US Automotive Aftermarket Association has promised to organize its member companies to attend the China International Auto Parts Exhibition in Beijing.
At the same time, Delphi, Bosch, Visteon, Denso, Pirelli, Goodyear and other giants have also expressed their participation. In order to show the world the strength of China's domestic auto industry, this exhibition will also set up an auto showroom to display cars of its own brand. Zhang Hao said that he hopes to show China International Auto Parts as an international exhibition with four famous international auto parts exhibitions, including Las Vegas in the United States, Paris in France, Frankfurt in Germany, and Dubai. He said: "CIAPE has a very broad prospect and is expected to be among the world's top three auto parts exhibitions in five years."
