According to the Japan News Agency, Japan is negotiating with China on the harmonization of new energy vehicle charging system standards, including charging interface specifications and charging protocols. At present, the world uses a variety of charging system standards, and Japan hopes to integrate charging interfaces and charging protocols with China, becoming the most widely used charging system standard in Asia, and has gradually become an international standard.
In the charging system standards, the countries are different. The standards adopted in China are GB/T, Japan adopts the “CHAdeMO†standard, and Europe and the United States adopt the “Combo†standard. In addition, Tesla, a well-known new energy vehicle company in the United States, has adopted a unique charging system standard. In March of this year, Japan's "CHAdeMO" specification charger has sold more than 18,000 in 71 countries, and internationalization is progressing smoothly.

Japan's "CHAdeMO" standard is not common with European and American standards, but it can be transmitted with vehicles produced under Chinese standards. A few days ago, the State Grid Corporation of China’s State Grid Corporation proposed to discuss the future charging system standards through the “CHAdeMO Agreementâ€. The Japanese side intends to negotiate this.
