Chemical pump machine seal installation method

After the installation preparation is completed, the installation can be carried out in a certain order to complete the installation of the stationary components in the end cap and the installation of the rotating components on the shaft. Finally, the overall combined installation of the chemical pump seals is completed. Take the centrifugal pump shown in Figure 5-93 as a single-end non-balanced mechanical seal installed as an example, the installation sequence is as follows.

a. Stationary parts installation. The anti-rotation pin 1 is inserted into the corresponding hole of the sealing cover, and then the stationary ring auxiliary sealing ring 2 is setted from the tail of the stationary ring 3, and if the V-ring is used, pay attention to the installation direction, for example, the O-ring, do not roll. Then align the anti-rotation pin slot on the back of the stationary ring against the anti-rotation pin into the sealing end cap. Anti-rotation height to be appropriate, should be retained with the static ring 1 ~ 2 mm of the gap, do not top static ring. Finally, measure the distance A from the end surface of the stationary ring to the end face of the seal cap.
Static ring fitted to the end cap to go after, but also check the seal end face and cover centerline perpendicularity and the flatness of the seal end face. Pumping liquid hydrocarbon medium pump, the vertical error of not more than 0.02 mm, oil and other media can be controlled within 0.04 mm. The inspection method is to measure the height of sealed end face and end face end cap with depth ruler (accuracy of 0.02 mm), measuring 4 points symmetrically in the circumferential direction, the difference should be within the above range, as shown in Figure 5-94.

Check the flatness of the sealed end surface with an optical flat crystal. If deformation is found, grind it with the moving ring paired with it. Pay attention to that no abrasives are kept and keep it clean until it contacts evenly along the circumference. Can also be directly used optical flat crystal assembly after the static ring face.
b. Determine the spring seat mounting position on the shaft. Determine the spring seat installation position, should be adjusted to set a good shaft and the relative position of the sealed cavity on the basis of. First of all, a reference line should be drawn correctly on the pump shaft along the end face of the seal chamber. Then, according to seal assembly diagram marked sealing work length, the spring seat positioning size adjustment spring compression amount to the design value.
c. Assembly of rotating parts. The two ends of the spring 8 are respectively sleeved on the spring seat 9 and the push ring 7, and the two ends of the polished spring are tightly contacted with the plane of the spring seat and the push ring. Then the moving ring auxiliary ring 5 into the moving ring 4, and with the push ring combination into one, and then the assembled rotating parts on the shaft (or sleeve), so that the spring seat back end face of the specified Position, evenly tighten the set screw 10 several times, press the ring back by hand to see if it can float axially.
d. Will install the stationary parts of the sealed end cap mounted to the sealed chamber, the end cap evenly pressed, shall not be installed. Check the clearance between end cap and end face of seal chamber with feeler gauge, the error is not more than 0.04mm. Check the radial clearance between the end cap and the stationary ring on the shaft. The error along the circumference is not more than 0.1 mm.
