Yuchai, as one of the participating units of the project, made important contributions to the completion of the project, mainly in the simulation of high-pressure ratio turbocharger system and engine matching, high-supercharged engine system and performance optimization, high supercharged engine reliability and Marketing plays a key role.

According to Yuchai researchers, high-pressure booster system and engine matching simulation technology is the basis for the development of high-pressure booster engines. In combination with the goals of emission development, Yuchai's optimization calculations for booster pressure and intake air flow in the entire engine operating range are conducted. , Provides the basis for the high pressure booster than the supercharger selection. In order to meet the customer's demand for high power and low-speed high torque, Yuchai started a large number of optimizations from the characteristics of the air flow path of the engine's high pressurization system to fully utilize the performance of the high pressurization system. In addition, according to the application features of high pressurization systems, protection devices have also been developed for superchargers, which greatly increase the reliability of high pressurization systems.

Yu Hui’s chief engineer Wang Fei, who is responsible for the project’s development of the engine combustion technology for light vehicles, described the main advantages of the technology in terms of significantly increasing the boost ratio and improving the engine’s altitude capability. High pressurization technology with pressure ratio greater than 4.0 is the international frontier and hot spot of current internal combustion engine research. China's internal combustion engine booster level is 3.5, and pressure boost ratios greater than 4.0 are entirely dependent on foreign companies. The success of this technology and its application have broken the monopoly of foreign pressurization technology. The engine using this technology has excellent plateau performance and can guarantee no power reduction at an altitude of 3500 meters.

It is reported that this technology is mainly used in high-strength, high-performance plateau diesel engine, and high-power ship diesel engine. Through close cooperation with Weifang Fuyuan Booster Co., Ltd., Yuchai has developed a number of high-performance supercharged engines that have been exported to Chile and other countries.
