·The ninth meeting of the China Electric Vehicle Safety Working Group was held in Changchun

On September 16-18, the ninth meeting of the Electric Vehicle Safety (EVS) Working Group hosted by China and hosted by FAW Group was held in Changchun. More than 70 representatives from WP29 countries including the United States, the European Union, Japan, South Korea and Canada, as well as experts from major automotive research institutes, automobile and parts companies at home and abroad attended the meeting. The Chinese representative co-chaired the meeting as the vice chairman of the working group. Deputy Director of the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Mr. Guo Guochun, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Academician Li Jun of FAW Group also attended the meeting.
The meeting listened to the research progress report of each technical group, reached consensus on the electrolyte leakage and 48V system that had been verified, and wrote it into the draft of the Global Technical Regulations for Electric Vehicle Safety (EVS-GTR). The meeting identified a two-step plan for the global technical regulations for electric vehicle safety, which clarified the main contents of the first and second phases of the regulations, and formulated a detailed work plan for completing the first phase of the regulations.
In order to form a regulatory text by the end of 2016, the meeting decided to further accelerate the research work, and asked the groups to submit the draft text of the regulations to the working group meeting as soon as possible; the meeting confirmed that the tenth meeting of the working group was held in Japan at the end of February 2016. The eleventh meeting was held in North America in June, and the twelfth meeting was held in Europe in September or October, and the final text was submitted to the Passive Safety Working Group (GRSP) and WP29.  
Before the meeting of the working group, nine special research groups held technical seminars on September 14-16. Representatives of relevant Chinese units took the lead in organizing a detailed discussion on three technical studies on electric vehicle waterproof safety (TF1), power battery thermal diffusion (TF5) and electric commercial vehicle (TF8); Chinese experts also actively participated in the safety of power battery systems. In-depth discussion of requirements, fire test, electric vehicle vehicle warning system and other projects.
