The PCL839 card has an EDM machine in the hardware connection laboratory of the EDM CNC machine. In order to realize the intelligent control of the EDM, the CNC control of the Z axis is realized by the industrial computer and the PCL839 card.
(1) First insert the PCL839 card into the industrial computer ISA slot, and draw the control line from the rear D-shaped slot to the stepper motor drive power supply, as shown. Then connect the stepper motor drive power supply to the stepper motor to complete the connection between the PCL839 card and the motor.
(2) Setting of limit switch The PCL839 card can provide five limit signals for each axis, namely the left and right limit bits, the left and right speed reduction bits and the origin signal. These signals can be accessed directly through the D-shaped plug, which can be read from the channel status buffer for rapid control.
(3) Reading of the stop signal and the discharge detection signal These two signals are connected to the I/O interface through an external connection. As long as the I/O signal is read and the corresponding function is executed, the control requirement can be achieved.
Design of the control software The system software adopts the cyclic mode, firstly performs the initialization operation, and then enters the working mode selection. According to the actual situation of the EDM, the three main functional modules of the machining control, parameter editing and help are set. The middle picture can exit the main program.
The flow chart of PCL839 and stepping motor drive power supply system software can set the processing parameters in the parameter editing module, mainly manual and automatic running parameters, machining depth of EDM, tool and electrode material, processing polarity, Algorithm selection and more. The PCL839 board stops sending pulses and the motor stops immediately.
At the end, PLC839 and microcomputer are easy to form a control system. The hardware used is low and the cost is low. The positioning and limit control of the three-axis motor and the input and output of 16 channels can be realized with only one card to form an accurate control system. The combination of powerful software functions and actuators enables a variety of high-precision positioning, limit, automatic trajectory and other operational controls. And can make full use of the openness of the industrial computer, and add various intelligent algorithms to the main control program to achieve better results.
