Norco is building a composite work boat for the UK Ministry of Defence

Recently, Norco Holding Co., a lightweight composite structure and fiberglass molding company in the UK, was selected by Atlas Elektro nik UK (AEUK) to build a fleet of replacement boats for the British Ministry of Defence and will be delivered in the next six years.

According to the contract, a total of more than 30 work boats will be built, ranging in length from 11 to 15 meters. As the main composite material supplier for the project, Norco Holdings will undertake the production of major components such as hulls, decks, superstructures and related multi-functional modules for these new work boats.

It is reported that these multi-purpose work boats will share parts and will be modular in design. This approach will help to quickly transform a range of special business functions, including diving training, explosive ordnance disposal, officer training, passenger transport, polar expeditions, hydrographic surveys, and logistics supplies.

Throughout the contract execution period, Norco Holdings will work closely with AEUK and its design teams, such as design and manufacturing and production solutions for the manufacture and manufacture of CNC saw blades for composite parts.
