Nichia has filed four patent infringement suits in the US

In these lawsuits, Nichia claimed that the defendant infringed on US Patent No. 9,490,411 and requested the court to issue an injunction prohibiting the defendant from selling and distributing the infringing products and requesting damages. Nichia reiterated that the company will spare no effort to seek to protect its patents and other intellectual property rights, and to take legal action against infringers in any country, as appropriate and necessary. In the case of Japan’s patent lawsuit, the indicted manufacturer was mainly a similar manufacturer and dealer in 2016. In other words, the strategic war of intellectual property rights of Nichia has remained unchanged, and lawsuits have been filed against downstream and terminal manufacturers. In addition, Feit Electric, the fourth defendant in the Japanese lawsuit in the US, also settled the patent litigation between the company and Cree in 2016. Therefore, whether Feit Electric will reconcile with Nichia in the future is a good one. The focus of observation.
