How to correctly detect the steps to find electromagnetic flowmeter faults and solutions:

The most common situation we encountered was: after the electromagnetic flowmeter was put into operation or normal operation for a period of time, it was discovered that the instrument was not working properly. If this condition occurs, first check the external condition of the flowmeter and first determine if the power supply is Good, and then check whether the pipeline is leaking or in a non-full pipe state, whether air bubbles are in the pipeline, whether the signal cable is damaged, and whether the converter output signal (that is, the rear instrument input circuit) is open. Follow this correct procedure and remember to blindly repair the flowmeter.

Sensor inspection
Need to prepare the test equipment: a multimeter, 500MΩ insulation resistance tester.
Test and check steps:
(1) When the pipeline is full of medium, use a multimeter to measure the resistance value between terminals A, B, and C. The resistance between AC and BC should be as large as equal. If the difference is more than 1 time, it may be the leakage of the electrode, the measurement of the outer wall of the tube or the adsorption of condensed water in the junction box.
(2) When the liner is dry, use MΩ meter to measure the insulation resistance between AC and BC (should be greater than 200MΩ). Then use a multimeter to measure the resistance of terminals A, B and the two electrodes in the measuring tube (should be short-circuit connected). If the insulation resistance is very small, indicating electrode leakage, the entire flowmeter should be returned to the factory for repair. If the insulation is reduced but there is still more than 50MΩ and the inspection result of step (1) is normal, the outer wall of the measuring tube may be damp, and the interior of the housing may be dried by a hot air blower.
(3) Use a multimeter to measure the resistance between X and Y. If the resistance exceeds 200Ω, the excitation coil and its lead wire may be open or poorly connected. Remove the terminal board check.
(4) Check that the insulation resistance between X, Y and C should be more than 200 MΩ. If there is a decrease, use the hot air to dry the inside of the housing. In actual operation, a decrease in coil insulation will lead to an increase in measurement error and an unstable output signal of the instrument.
(5) If it is determined that the sensor is faulty, please contact the manufacturer of the electromagnetic flowmeter. The general site cannot be solved and it is necessary to go to the manufacturer for maintenance.

Converter check
If it is determined that the converter is faulty and the external cause is no problem, please contact the manufacturer of the electromagnetic flowmeter. Manufacturers generally adopt the method of replacing the circuit board.

Electrode maintenance
1. Before using the electromagnetic flowmeter , calibrate the electromagnetic flowmeter with a standard pH solution. After the calibration, before operation, everyone must pay attention to first wash the electrode of the electromagnetic flowmeter with distilled water, and then wash the electrode again with the test liquid.
2. If you do not use the electromagnetic flowmeter, when you remove the electromagnetic flowmeter electrode, we must pay attention not to let the touch sensor and the hard object of the electrode collide, otherwise it will affect the use of the electrode as long as it is damaged.
3. After using the electromagnetic flowmeter , we must put the electrode of the electromagnetic flowmeter on the sleeve, and put a few saturated solutions inside. Just make sure the bulb of the electrode is moist, but remember not to put it in distilled water. soak.
4. Usually pay attention to keep the electrode clean, do not let the output of both sides of it have a short circuit, otherwise it will make the measurement inaccurate, affecting the use of electromagnetic flowmeter.
