Hybrid diffusers developed for this purpose play a central role in generating images and making efficient use of light. The research here will focus on the image quality perceived by the driver. The Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering studies the design methods and algorithms of hybrid diffuser optics and the techniques used to generate deterministic surface structures. TEMICON is responsible for coating nanoscale structures using interference lithography and developing injection stamping and forming technology to produce thin double-sided hybrid diffuser optics as a series of products.
