At the recent Geneva Motor Show, Toyota showed the public its newest city i-Road, which uses a three-wheeled, 1+1 seat layout and a pure electric system to drive the vehicle. The intelligent three-wheeled electric vehicle called i-road can turn like a moto, allowing commuters to cope with traffic congestion. Safety and stability are also comparable to ordinary cars. i-ROAD is designed for busy city streets and is no wider than ordinary motor bikes. i-ROAD uses smart front wheels, which can be adjusted according to the driver's operation, allowing it to drive like an ordinary car.
According to overseas media reports, the Toyota i-Road concept car will enter the mass production stage. If all goes well, the i-Road production model may be available for sale in 2014.
