China will formulate new emission standards and Euro II emissions will be implemented soon

Wang Binggang, a senior researcher at the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, said in Shanghai recently that China will implement a new vehicle emission standard equivalent to the Euro II standard and prepare for the implementation of a vehicle emission standard equivalent to the Euro III standard.
The Euro III standard is a vehicle emission standard set by the European Union and is implemented from 2000 to 2005. According to this standard, the limits of hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and particulates in commercial vehicle exhaust are 0.66%, 2.1%, 5% and 0.1%, respectively.
Wang Binggang said that even if the oil supply is in a tight trend, fuel will remain the main fuel for Chinese cars for a long time to come. Improving fuel quality to meet the demand for implementing Euro III vehicle emission standards has become an urgent task for China.
China will also gradually promote the use of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as an alternative fuel, and encourage auto companies to develop LPG vehicles that meet Euro II and Euro III emission levels to meet increasingly stringent environmental requirements.
