On the basis of the 280 kA large-scale aluminum electrolyzer technology developed in China, the Yunan Phase II technical transformation project eliminated the design and transformation of the 60 kA self-baking tank to 300 kA. In June 2005, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association organized experts to carry out technical appraisal of the “Cloud Aluminum CHYG-30 Prebaked Aluminum Electrolytic Cell System Technology Development and Application†project. It is agreed that the integrated technology of this cell has reached the international level. Level, for example, its annual production capacity has expanded from 25 kilotons to 200 kilotons; power consumption has been greatly reduced, saving 200 million kilowatt hours per year, and the average cost per kilowatt is 0.37 yuan, saving about 70 million yuan.
