In 2006, "China High" signed a cooperation agreement with the world's top engine manufacturing company, MAN MAN Group, to establish "China High-Mann" company, which provides technical support and produces high-power engines. Although there is technical support from the MAN Group, to transform technology into products, “Middle and High” must master powerful precision manufacturing processes in production. As a result, the "Zhonggao" diesel engine project was soon listed as a key industrial project in Zhejiang Province.
Nowadays, the precision manufacturing process of "Zhonggao" to "Made in Germany" has matured. In the company's test shop, the chairman Shi Qingzhe pointed to a 4,500-kilowatt/6,120-horsepower, high-power heavy-duty engine under test and told reporters that this giant, which was more than 5 meters long and weighed more than 40 tons, was composed of tens of thousands of components. The entire manufacturing process is as fine as "embroidery." Take the crankshaft known as the "heart" of the engine. According to the design requirements, a crankshaft of more than 6 meters in length and weighing 4.25 tons requires forging accuracy of 5 micrometers, only one-fifth of the hair. The crankshaft produced also undergoes multi-channel inspections such as ultrasonics and magnetic particle inspections, even if a few scratches are not missed. When the two imported equipments enter the factory in July, "Zhonggao" will begin independent production of crankshafts. By then, ZhongGao will gradually become Asia's largest high-power medium-speed diesel engine crankshaft finishing base.
There is strength in technology. The first 4500 kW/6120 hp high-power heavy-duty engine that was delivered shortly before, met the technical standards of the German MAN Group at one time, and passed the acceptance of the China Classification Society once. This made the German MAN engineers even shout: "Unbelievable!"
The birth of "Zhonggao" has also injected a unique "Zhejiang element" for China's equipment manufacturing industry. At present, the localization level of the "medium-high" engine has reached 30%, Shi Qingzhe said that in the next three years will strive to reach 85%. Judging from the pull of domestic related industries, at present, more than 70% of China's marine large-scale diesel engines need to be imported, while the “medium-high” high-power engines are sold at a price that is 15% lower than that of imported products.
According to reports, the current "Middle" production plan has been scheduled for July next year, and there are about 6 billion yuan in the intention to talk about the contract. It is estimated that by 2011, “China High” will form an annual production capacity of 1,000 units (sets) and become the top five high-power marine and land engine production bases in Asia. The product market will cover marine vessels, marine engineering, and land-use heavy oil power plants. , locomotives and many other fields.
