Volvo Commercial Vehicles Want to Use India as an Export Base


It is reported that Volvo is planning to increase export volume to other countries as its business in India gradually begins to make profits. These countries include China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Algeria, and Myanmar.

According to Eric Leblak, general manager of Volvo India, the company has already exported vehicles to South Korea and other neighboring countries. He said that Volvo will also purchase parts worth about 100 million U.S. dollars in India. “The price of Volvo India’s products is still at least three times higher than the price of competitors selling products in India. But even so, the company has already sold a sufficient number of products and our company has started to make profits,” Leblake said.

According to reports, Volvo's commercial vehicle fuel-efficient performance, and can run faster. Leblak said that Volvo wants customers to understand that buying their products is more profitable than buying other manufacturers' products.
