Recently, the Shanghai Institute of Internal Combustion Engines held an acceptance meeting for the National 863 Project “Sino-Small-Sized Diesel Engines and Engineering Machinery Diesel Engines Research and Development†in Wuxi, Jiangcheng. The project was jointly researched by Yuchai , Tianjin University, Changchai, and Shanghai Internal Combustion Engine Research Institute. "The key technology and product development of the four-cylinder diesel engine" passed the acceptance by the expert group of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
As the main research unit of this project, Yuchai selected two engines for technological improvements to achieve emission upgrades. Through the simulation analysis and test improvement of the two models of fuel supply system, air intake system and combustion chamber, etc., comprehensive technologies such as injection pump and nozzle pressure and reasonable organization of combustion are improved, so that engine performance, emissions and fuel consumption meet the requirements of the project plan. . Through the research of this project, Yuchai successfully used water air cooling technology and non-road combustion optimization technology, which further clarified the technical route of non-road engine T3 compliance and the main technical points of the engine.
