Southwest Research Institute Launches Energy Storage System Security and Evaluation Alliance Collaborative Research Project

A battery energy storage system for electric and hybrid vehicles, safety and reliability assessment, and a cost-effective research cooperation program will be established at the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in the US .

The establishment of the four-year energy storage system safety and assessment (EssEs) alliance hopes to help vehicle manufacturers and battery suppliers to develop pre-competition detailed experiments based on the existing brand of electronic chemical energy storage system products. Room level test data to enhance the transparency of the automotive battery market and promote the development of energy storage systems.
