Pangang Titanium Distillation Plant has 180,000 tons of fine-grain grade titanium ore drying capacity

It was learned from Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group that the Panzhihua Steel Titanium Distillation Plant has a drying capacity of 180,000 tons of fine-grained titanium concentrate.
According to reports, in the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" of Panzhihua Iron and Steel, a detailed plan was made for "making large-scale vanadium and titanium." The titanium plant has seized this opportunity for good development, stepped up the transformation of the automatic control system for the production process, and established three major technical reform projects including the “New Micro Mine Drying System and Automatic Sewing System Project”. Among them, the new micro-mineral drying system and automatic sewing package system project was started in September last year.
The existing main process of the titanium recovery plant can only effectively recover 0.074mm grain grade ilmenite, and the ore with a grain size of -0.074mm is basically thrown away from the tailings. However, this part of the grain size with the deep mining of ore and fine grinding of the selected iron, the metal distribution rate in the total magnetic tail of 60%, if not fully effective recovery, the total yield can not go up.
During the "7th Five-Year Plan", "Eighth Five-Year Plan" and "Ninth Five-Year Plan" period, the comprehensive utilization of titanium resources in Panzhihua was continuously included in the national key scientific and technological projects. In 1996, Panzhihua’s fine-grained ilmenite was successfully recovered by flotation. This achievement has passed the national acceptance and won the first prize of scientific and technological progress in Sichuan Province. Based on this research result, Pangang designed a pilot production line with an annual output of 20,000 tons in 1997 (the old micro mine production line currently in operation). On June 30, 2001, a production line with an annual output of 40,000 tons was built in the latter 8 series. In February 2003, a 60,000-ton production line was built in the first 8 series. Through a series of technological breakthroughs, the entire micro-mineral production line has reached a scale of 140,000 tons of titanium concentrate. It has been identified as a national high-tech demonstration zone, and its technology is at the international advanced and domestic leading level.
At present, the plant will enter the original ore of the production process of the plant, and after grading the original ore, it shall be classified according to 0.074mm. The coarse-grained part enters the main flow process for recovery, and the fine-grained minerals classified by the sloping raw ore slag are recycled into the micro-mineral production line.
Since the beginning of this year, the titanium plant has steadily promoted the construction of the new micro-mineral drying system and the automatic sewing package system. The engineering equipment has been fully installed in early March. After two weeks of stand-alone test and commissioning, it began empty load linkage test. After completion, micro-mineral drying capacity will be increased to provide protection for the micro-mineral production line after energy expansion.
According to reports, the plant also launched jet flotation technology to solve the problem of fine-grained recovery technology, and recovered -38μm fine-grained ilmenite. Progress has been made. After the industrialization of this recycling technology, the capacity of the titanium plant will reach 400,000 tons/year.
