New Spectral Project of Xinjiang Institute of Physics and Chemistry Accepted by Experts

[Chinese instrument network instrument research and development] May 26, Chinese Academy of Sciences Xinjiang Institute of Physical and Chemical Technology Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences research equipment development project "from the ultra-high vacuum to atmospheric pressure surface spectroscopic in situ characterization system" passed the Chinese Academy of Sciences Condition Guarantee and Finance Bureau Experts' acceptance of the organization. The expert group highly praised and unanimously agreed that the performance indicators of the development equipment all meet the expected goals.

The project leader Qiu Hengshan gave a detailed report to the expert group on the implementation of the project and the performance indicators reached by the equipment and equipment. The experts of the test team went to the site to conduct actual test of various performance indicators. The acceptance team experts reviewed the relevant acceptance materials and the use of funds of the project. After the comprehensive evaluation of the test group experts and the acceptance group experts, the expert group highly evaluated and unanimously agreed that the performance indicators of the development equipment all achieved the expected goals.
The project introduced the surface spectroscopy method into the field of photocatalysis. Through a large number of innovative designs, the vacuum chamber background vacuum is better than 3×10-10 mbar, and the high pressure chamber vacuum is 10-9 mbar. Variable between 1000 mbar and can be detected in situ by mass spectrometry.
The sample can be transferred to achieve heating (1000K), cooling (100K) and temperature measurement; through the sealed connection of the high pressure chamber and the vacuum infrared spectrometer, the equipment can finally achieve different gas pressures, different temperatures and different conditions in the high pressure chamber. In-situ detection of vacuum (polarized) infrared spectra under light conditions. The experts agreed that the implementation of this project is conducive to systematic research on the mechanism of gas-solid (light) catalytic reaction, and obtaining microscopic information on the molecular level is an important supplement and new development to existing research methods.
Zhang Hongsong, director of the Equipment Office of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Finance Bureau, and Cui Wangcheng, deputy director of Xinjiang Physical and Chemical Institute attended the meeting.
