Ford China's October sales increased 55% year-on-year

• Ford China sold 93,969 units in a single month in October, an increase of 55% year-on-year; a total of 741,818 vehicles were approved for sale in January-October this year, an increase of 52% year-on-year

• Ford Motor Co., Ltd.'s passenger vehicle joint venture in China Changan Ford Motor Co., Ltd. sold 70,173 units in one month in October, up 61% year-on-year. In the January-October period, it sold 536,421 vehicles in total, a year-on-year increase of 68%.

• Ford Motor Co.'s commercial vehicle investment company, Jiangling Motors, sold 21,724 units in October, an increase of 36% year-on-year; from January to October this year, Jiangling Motors sold a total of 186,920 vehicles, an increase of 14% year-on-year;

November 6, 2013, Shanghai, China – Ford Motor China sales in October continued to maintain its strong momentum. The total number of batches sold in October reached 93,969 units, a year-on-year increase of 55%. From January to October this year, Ford China's sales volume reached 741,818 units, an increase of 52% year-on-year.

As the Ford's star model, Fox brand models continue to lead the sales growth. In October, Fox's sales volume rose by 18% year-on-year to 39,710 units. From January to October this year, Fox's batch sales increased by 48% year-on-year. The new Ford Mondeo, which was just launched in August, has sold 7,805 units in October; Ford's all-segment SUV models - Ford Wing, Ford Mavericks, Ford Sharp and Ford Explorers continue to rise. In October, Ford Wing and its sales of Mighty Tigers were 6,484 and 9,604 respectively.

Ford Motor Co., a joint venture of passenger vehicles in China, sold 70,173 units of passenger cars in October, an increase of 61% year-on-year. From January to October, Changan Ford sold 536,421 units, a year-on-year increase of 68%.

Ford Motor Co.'s commercial vehicle investment company Jiangling Motors also has strong sales. In October, Jiangling Motors sold 21,724 units in volume, an increase of 36% year-on-year. The Ford Transit model sold 6,036 units in October, a year-on-year increase of 19%. From January to October this year, Jiangling Motors sold a total of 186,920 vehicles, an increase of 14% year-on-year.

Driven by strong growth in markets such as China, Ford’s sales volume in the Asian market exceeded the one million mark in October.
