The REACH regulation came into force on June 1 last year. From June 1 this year, the pre-registration of products will start. In order to ensure that the entire industry is not affected by the Sino-European chemicals trade, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association has recently set up a working group to deal with REACH regulations and has actively guided companies to register. This was learned by the reporter on January 9 in the oil and chemical industry meeting for the work of the REACH regulation.
At the meeting, Pan Derun, the vice president of the Petrochemical Association, informed of the ongoing and ongoing work on responding to the REACH regulations. The first is to analyze and analyze the situation of oil, petrochemical and chemical products exported to the European Union and export companies; the second is to look for Chinese and foreign partners in chemical registration and establish a registration channel; and third is to plan to hold the whole industry chemistry in early March. The pre-registration work meeting invited relevant experts from the European Chemicals Agency to introduce pre-registration work procedures and material preparations. Fourth, it set up a working group to deal with the REACH regulations and the industry to respond to the REACH technical service centers and strengthen leadership in this area. Organize and coordinate; Fifth, prepare for pre-registration of chemicals and joint registration, and welcome pre-registration starting from June 1.
Statistical reports from the Petrochemical Association show that from January to November 2007, China-EU chemicals trade totaled 26.3 billion U.S. dollars, of which imports were 12.1 billion U.S. dollars and exports were 14.2 billion U.S. dollars. In the same period, China had 923 tariff lines of chemicals exported to the EU, mainly inorganic salts, dyes, pigments, rubber products, organic intermediates, and so on. Among them, there are 14 products with export volume over 100,000 tons, including oil products, chemical minerals, natural barium sulphate and citric acid; 83 products with export volume ranging from 10,000 tons to 100,000 tons are metal oxides, Inorganic products, polyester, PVC, glacial acetic acid, etc.; there are 361 products with export volumes ranging from 1,000 tons to 10,000 tons. The above products need to be registered within 3 years. In addition, there are 282 products with export volumes ranging from 100 tons to 1,000 tons, and 218 products with 1 tons to 100 tons.
Representatives of the five major companies and escrow associations, including China Petrochemical Corporation, attended the meeting and expressed their willingness to cooperate fully with petrochemical associations, mobilize and organize enterprises to conduct pre-registration, and strive to grasp the initiative to export to the EU.
