According to estimates by the State Forestry Administration, China's existing raw materials for forestry biomass energy utilization are about 300 million tons, equivalent to about 200 million tons of standard coal. The total area of ​​woody oil tree species in China exceeds 4 million hectares, 154 kinds of plants with seed oil content above 40%, and fruit production above 4 million tons. At present, there are still more than 54 million hectares of barren land in Yilin, and nearly 100 million hectares of saline-alkali land, sandy land, and marginal lands that are not suitable for farming, such as mines and oilfield reclaimed land.
