China National Offshore Petrochemical Co., Ltd.'s 600,000-ton methanol project passed the quality inspection and acceptance of China Chemical Industry Engineering Quality Supervision Station. The 65 units of the project were all qualified, of which 33 were excellent works, and the excellent rate of installation was 91.7%. The overall quality of the project was excellent.
China Haichem’s 600,000-ton methanol project has the largest methanol plant in the country and is known for its advanced technology, safety, environmental protection, high-quality and low-cost core competitiveness. The device adopts advanced methanol technology from the German Ruchi Chemical Co., Ltd. and uses natural gas from the Dongfang 1-1 gas field as raw material, which can reduce 252,000 tons of carbon dioxide annually. The project started construction in September 2004. On September 12th, 2006, a single batch of qualified feed products was put into production. It was put into production 34 days ahead of schedule, and the product quality reached the double standards of the American Federal AA Class and China National Standard. The successful commissioning of this device has further extended the industrial chain of chemical companies with chemical fertilizers as the main industry.
Since it was put into production, the device has been produced steadily, and the results of performance evaluation show that the device has reached the design level. At present, China Shipping Chemical Company is preparing to declare the project as a National Quality Project Award.
